If only…

…running around counted as exercise!  I’d make my 5 day goal without even thinking about it!

So, I’m currently taking some down time from all that “exercise.”  lol!  Friday after school I was out running so many errands that I didn’t get home until after 8.  But the fun didn’t stop there!  I had to design AND sew a skirt for a belly dance performance on Saturday (my first, hence the need for a costume).  I also had to make floor pillows I had promised for Saturday night as well.  So that took up Friday night until midnight and most of Saturday morning.  I squeezed in breakfast with the kids, and was barely able to get my hair and make-up done before I left at 5:30.  Dinner was eaten on the road (unfortunate side effect of being up to my eyeballs).

In the end, everything went off with only minor hitches – which were overcome.  I got a couple of compliments on my dancing, several on the costume.  I’ve been asked to do it again, which I probably will.  And even though the performance was only about 5 or 6 minutes, I’m definitely going to have to work on my stamina.  (cough!  cough!  Exercise goal!  cough!  cough!)  Fortunately right after we all tuned to a Tibetan singing bowl, so it gave me a chance to catch my breath!!!  So, I got some exercise yesterday.  Not my 30 minutes, but today is another day.  I think I’ll take the kids for a walk in a little while.
